Calvin and Hobbes is one of my favorite comics of all time. That says a lot because, until recently, I read the funny pages everyday. Now, without even Boondocks appearing everyday, it’s not even worth going through the newspaper to get to the comics. There’s no point, y’know? And this way, I don’t accidentally read Family Circus.
I came upon Robot Chicken’s take on Calvin and Hobbes the other day on Youtube. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I mean, Calvin and Hobbes means a lot to me. On bad days, I would always pick up one of my C&H compilations to cheer me up. I always wanted a friend like Hobbes. He was always so cool and a tiger. You can’t fail with tigers. And then I saw this:
I thought it was funny. Others found it traumatizing, and found their childhood ruined. Ruined.
(This won’t make any sense to you if you don’t know what Calvin and Hobbes is)
